Financial Services Coordinator

 

LSG Financial Services announces a staff opening for a part-time Financial Services Coordinator in Bloomfield Hills.

SUMMARY:

Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager, Financial Consultants and Principals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two to three years related work experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with eMoney, and Financial Connection preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills. Exceptional organization and multi-task skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Work efficiently and in a proactive manner. Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with public and staff.
  • Customer-centric, professional approach in working with a variety of people. Ability to work within a team as well as independently with little supervision. 
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.             Coordinate with vendors to have 401(k) enrollment kits sent to plan sponsors. Prepare sign-up sheets and announcement flyers for enrollments. Coordinate with TPA to obtain distribution paperwork for termed participants.

2.             Coordinate financial planning appointments with clients. Prepare account reviews for client meetings.

3.             Service client accounts such as name and beneficiary changes, and processing.

 

4.             Process new business applications submitted by Financial Consultant team.  Input information in database, daily blotter, and electronic files. Send file to broker for compliance approval and mail paperwork to appropriate vendors.

 

5.             Prepare new account paperwork and process vendor appointment paperwork for assigned members of the Financial Consultant team.

 

6.             Follow-up on transfer requests sent to vendors.

 

7.             Load clients into eMoney financial software and link investment accounts. Create client login and password, and teach client how to access and use software for their accounts.

 

8.             Mail annuity contracts to clients.

 

9.             Run life insurance quotes.  Pull applications for consultant and follow up on status of business.

 

10.          Open and distribute incoming mail.

 

11.          Maintain confidentiality of all information related to clients, customers, employees and carriers.
